Hello everyone,
How are you all? It's been forever since I've really actually done anything on either of my accounts here on DA and I do want to change that in the near future. But I think I'll start off with an announcement that may come as a surprise to some, but I think most of you already know. Last summer, on the edge of the Grand Canyon I got down on my knees and proposed to Holly Rorke *Rorke . With life being as chaotic as it sometimes will be and other monkeys on our back it's been tough to make plans and finances materialize for the wedding. As luck would have it fate has decided to drop in once again. For the ease of explanation and to save my fingers the work, my wonderful fiance has already typed out the situation in full. Friends, please read on:

A 1 in 5 chance to have the greatest start a couple could ask for!

First off I would just like to thank DA for the the greatest gift of my hole life Tyler Green other wise known as a stock artist wookiestock on DA



if anyone has followed our past DA galleries you will know this. I am a concept and freelance artist here and worldwide and I stumbled on wookiesstock page about a year and a half ago. I needed stock so we ended up talking. I had no idea that when we talked he was only an hour away from me. Let alone on the same continent. Please read on and you will find out some amazing things about this union that DA has brought about. Also if your living in the Victoria area I hope that you DA Victorians can help us in this amazing opportunity that has sprung up.

I entered a contest last month for a 17000$ packaged Green Dream Wedding contest at the Mayfair mall (Victoria) and am happy to announce we are in the top 5 finalists.... SO that's why I am here. I am counting on the public to become aware of whats happening. Also I wanted to mention that anyone that votes has a chance to win a 2 day getaway at Tin Wis Resort in taffino whether its for us or any of the other contestants.

Each finalist had to write a 200 word essay on why they felt they should win the GREEN DREAM WEDDING contest and here is my entry that got me and wookie into the top 5 finalists.


(((((My father named me after a Christmas song called Holly Green "the prettiest green you ever seen." He sang that song to me every year and a year ago as a joke I told my father that I was going to marry a man with the last name Green...one month later without knowing his last name at the time I met Tyler Green.(on Deviant Art) A man I love so very much. I promptly told my father that I had met the man I was going to marry---my family chuckled.

But lo and behold last summer Tyler(wookiestock) proposed to me at the edge of the Grand Cannon on his knees for all the world to see. And now Tyler(wookiestock) sings that song to me.."Holly Green". I promptly got to planning for my Green themed wedding. But being a young couple with college debt and trying desperately to keep my freelance business afloat we realized that perhaps my green wedding would never come to fruition. But then when I was looking for financial help on the web I stumbled across your contest Green Dream Wedding and I broke into tears. Please tell me this is some happy serendipity! Some of you DA couples who have gone through the wedding proses will know what a wedding package like this means to us. It means we don't have to sink deeper and deeper into debt because of a wedding that might cost us thousands of dollars.

The average wedding in Canada is $21,000 these days. So for us to be able to get married on our own might take years for us to save up. That or we might cop out and elope.... But... I want my father to be able to walk me down the isle in the wedding dress I always wanted... and I want our family to be able to come and watch this joining of hearts. I want it to be the dream wedding I always hoped for... And I have this 1 in 5 chance to get it.... so I am here... begging for people to come and vote... it doesn't have to be for us... even if some DA artists come and just vote it will be moving.

If you have ever been that down and out couple with moths flying out of your pockets trying to figure out the bills and just trying to make a start for yourselves you'll understand my desperation. We need your help. To anyone that will listen ...we need your support.... we need you DA-ers!! Please come and be a part of this amazing opportunity to change this couples life.(again!) Please come...

Where can I Vote? At the concierge desk in Mayfair mall you will see a big display with all the contestants entries and pics and on it.

Where is the mall? Mayfair Shopping Centre is conveniently located between Douglas Street (Trans Canada Hwy) and Blanshard Street (Hwy 17) at 3147 Douglas Street, Victoria, B.C., V8Z 6E3.

When? Voting starts on the 10th to the 25th of this month. Winners are notified on the 28th of March 2008.
